yeah - i was there on my own. both because i couldnt really find anyone else to go with (it was a friday afternoon), plus i didnt want anyone else from the banter 500 to get the points. i was being a secretive git about the location and time of said event, though i had told AK that i was going. there were a couple of real toffs there (though surprisingly very few ladies wearing hats, and certainly nothing ridiculous). i was hoping there would be more toffs so that i could offend them by making a mockery of the event. in the newsletter there was a picture of 2 of them, who i was standing near when their photo was taken. they looked like real "what what" kind of people.
loads of peak caps there as well. unfortunately the one i had (which i found on the street once) was in carrick.

Last night I went to the BBC television centre in London and was part of the audience for the 'The Late Edition', its a sort of comedy 'Newsnight'. It was amazin crack! Michael Winner (who incidently I should have attacked for 'fight your nemesis') was one of the guests. he has the biggest ear lobs I have evr seen. I was hoping that they would take questions from the audience. I think i'm going to try and get on top of the pops some day too. Its on BBC 4 tonight at 10.30, I'm sitting in the third row from the front but you'll probably never get a chance to see me. But you will see how big Michael Winners ear lobs are.

bob - could you possibly tape the show? i dont have BBC 4 over here.
there are also some more site updates. the latest editions are:
easy peasy:
JK - have a lazy afternoon
bit of bother:
JK - walk under a ladder
difficult:
JK - bake a cake JK - have a skeleton in your closet
hard as anything:
Bob - listen to an old man's war story JK - drink 2 litres of 18p tesco cola (eugh) JK - get slapped with a wet kipper (YES YES YES!)
amazing:
JK - wear a hat to a horse race
that's literally about as up to date as i can make the site. if you have any photos to send (or more importantly, can help me with any challenges), then let me know.

ok i have one for the failures page on wednesday afternoon a cool fm DJ came in and the boss and i wernt sure if it was him (cus he used a silly name on the bowling lane) so to not make fools of ourselves we waited till his 1pm slot on the radio to see if he was on, the logic being that if he was on live on the radio then it couldnt be him, so when 1pm came along we found out that it was him (some was covering his slot on the radio) and i bounced out of the office and ran up to lane 16 at get a photo with him and he had already left!!!! it would have been perfect fot meet a crap celeb!! but i will get him next time!!!!!!!!!!!

i entered a colouring in competition on saturday. mace had been running some competition, so i picked up a couple of forms one day before football. as i hate colouring in, i waited until the night before the deadline to do it. i was feeling particularly tired that night, so was in no mood to actually do it. it wasn't helped by the fact that there were lines missing in the outlines, so it was nearly impossible to work out where one thing ended, and the other began, or in fact to know what it was in the first place. so i was coloured those bits in the same colour and hoped for the best.
i went to the mace near the superbowl to hand it in (not the same place that i had got it from, but i couldnt be bothered walking all the way there. plus i thought i had more chance winning at a different mace, as there wouldnt be as many kids near there handing it in). i asked the woman behind the counter if they accepted entries. she didnt know (she didn't even know that there was a competition in the first place, so asked the manager. when she asked, all i heard was the manager going "what!". though that was maybe because i had put my age down as 23 1/2. its not every day a bearded man comes in and enters a colouring in competition. as i walked out, i saw the girl holding my entry awkwardly behind the till. i reckon as soon as i was out of sight she was told to bin it. but let's hope i win the goodie bag!

never worry - the post wasn't deleted. dont know what happened.
more photos have been sent to me by Bob, and i've completed another couple of challenges. updates should hopefully be up by the end of the week.
in further news, we cant get in contact with Lee. for whatever reason, we cant phone him up, and his phone diverts to another phone and we are too scared to let in ring in case it's a bad man on the other end of the phone.
we may now be running a "Find Lee Appeal". look out for info on a poster coming near you!

our YF in church had a semi-formal on sunday night. i dressed up for the occassion wearing a white jacket and a leather waistcoat. myself and Jeremy were in charge of entertainment. when i say in charge i mean we had some ideas and just wung it on the night (actually, i should get points for that as well). we kind of had to cos the CD player kept cutting out for no apparent reason, so that ruled out some games. we had a 3 course meal, and in between each course we had some games, which we just decided on as people arrived in the room. after everything, we had some cheesy dancy songs (caspar slide, time warp, and the YMCA - eugh. i feel unclean). i had been scraping my brain all week trying to think of something banterlicious to do on the night. and then it occured to me during dessert - have a dance off! i managed to find a volunteer quite quickly (thank you mr mark wells - you were amazing). zoolander rules ensued - one person goes, the next copies, then improvises. unfortunately we didn't have david bowie (let's dance) judging. i'm surprised we managed to think up so many dance combinations between us. i've got 2 short videos from it - spot the tribute to Zoolander when they go online.
